Editorial Policy

RxGuide is committed to providing accurate, evidence-based medication information that patients and caregivers can trust. This page explains how we research, write, and review every piece of content published on this site.

Our Mission

RxGuide exists to make prescription drug information accessible, understandable, and actionable for patients. We believe that informed patients make better health decisions — and that access to clear, accurate medication information should not require a medical degree.

Every article, drug monograph, and comparison page on RxGuide is written to answer real patient questions with the depth and accuracy that clinical decisions require.

Medical Review Process

All clinical content on RxGuide — including drug monographs, interaction summaries, and health articles — is reviewed by licensed pharmacists or physicians before publication. Our reviewers verify:

  • Accuracy of drug mechanisms, indications, and dosing information
  • Completeness and clinical relevance of listed side effects and contraindications
  • Accuracy of drug interaction severity classifications
  • Alignment with current FDA labeling and clinical guidelines
  • Appropriateness of plain-language explanations for patient audiences

Each reviewed article displays the reviewer's name, credentials, and the date of last review. We do not publish clinical content that has not completed the medical review process.
